How to cure a tattoo?
How to cure a tattoo? Explanation to cure a tattoo correctly?
How to cure a tattoo? This is a question that we are asked a lot in our tattoo studio and it is very important because the healing of a tattoo must be done in the right way to avoid negative consequences.
When a person gets a tattoo, his skin suffers a lot of damage and that is why the tattoo should be treated as a wound. It is very important a correct healing of a tattoo whether it is big, medium or small, because if not it can lose quality and you can suffer infections or other problems.
Once the tattoo session is done, the tattoo will be covered with film paper, previously washed and disinfected. Depending on the type of tattoo, our tattooist Miguel Bohigues will tell you how long the tattoo should be wrapped.
Once the film is removed, we will wash it with water and neutral pH soap indirectly, without dropping the water directly on the tattoo. Once it has been washed, it must be left to dry in the air and helped by tapping it with a clean paper or towel. When the tattoo is completely dry, apply a thin layer of Bepanthol on the tattoo to help the skin regenerate.
This washing process should be carried out once a day, being very important the application of Bepanthol three times a day, for the regeneration of the skin. From the second week it is advisable to lower the dose of Bephantol to once a day and maintain the wash once a day. It is normal that the skin is detached and itchy in the area. We must take into account that it is a wound after all, and therefore all this kind of things are within the normal healing of the tattoo. It is also advisable to avoid bathing in pools or beaches, because the tattoo could be infected with different bacteria or dirt existing in those places. And finally, something fundamental in the healing of a tattoo is the exposure to the sun, since this must be minimal for a good healing of the tattoo.
